Open OnDemand

OnDemand is a perfect solution for interactive work. You can open interactive applications in your browser while accessing cluster resources and data. Open your browser within OneView and go to:

  • Research

    https://helios.umcinfra.nl/

  • Diagnostics

    https://selene.umcinfra.nl/

  • Login with your cluster credentials (P-number). image

    Note

    When you enter OpenOnDemand you’ll be automatically redirected to a temporary login key, looking something like this: image

    If you don’t log in within 5 minutes, this key will expire. image

    Don’t worry, just go to OpenOnDemand again to repeat the login procedure

  • You’ll find pinned apps that are used frequently. Open one of the interactive apps by clicking on the icon, completing the form, and pressing the "Launch" button. The application should open in a new window. Then, you can enjoy the cluster utilities in your browser! image

  • As an example we open RSudio server. Complete the form, by specifying: Bioconductor version, Number of hours for your job, Node type (worker or big memory), Number of cores and Amount of memory (in gigabytes), and press the "Launch button". image

  • You will be redirected to a new page. Wait until you see the Connect to RStudio Server button, and click on it. image

  • RStudio Server is now launcing in a new window and can be used. image
